Some words before we start touring through the years. (disclaimers?)
First, the pictures for the years 1972, 1990, and 1998 are what could be best said as "digitally
re-mastered" from negatives, some look great some not so great but hey! who had a digital camera in 1972? Secondly, some thanks go to fellow CMMC founding member Cliff Baker for his help
in identifying some of the early "works" shots

The First "Works" Visit September 1972:

This "tour" was planned as an over nighter while we were on our way to Scotland. In these days the train did not stop at Malvern Link and our closest spot to the Malvern station to "stay over" was the Thornbury Hotel. Easy cab to the Works. As you will see it still really was the "WORKS" aka a "small cottage industry in the midlands". Many of the pictues were taken by RoseMarie with our funny little camera (boy has the tech. changed). So have the fashions, wasn't polyester great?
To tour click on "entrance" right, you will be taken to a early '70's Works site layout, then click on that to "TOUR".

Visit number two - 18 years later June 7th, 1990:

This trip was just the Motoring Mouth's junket mainly to see my elder Aunt in Dumbarton Scotland. While at my cousins in Sussex they had a tape of the Sir John Harvey-Jones "Touble Shooter" Series, the one featuring the Morgan Works "fix". The "T" shirt in Morgan circles that year read "Sir John Harvey Jones What does He Know!". Did not stay at the Thornbury "Moved on up" to the Cottage in the Wood, the way upsclale facility that Sir John & messers Peter & Charles had their "show down dinner". Even saw the room. For this tour when you click on the "entrance" you will be taken to Peter Morgans letter, then click on that for a Works site layout and then click on that to "TOUR".

Visit number 3 The "Great David & Dad's Tour" 1998:

This visit July 3rd, 1998 was on leg of this tour. Other "legs" included participating in the XK50th events, and of course Scotland. Accompanying us to the factory was Cliff Baker & Chris Rowe and meeting us there was Ernst Wilmink and the Bath "U" investigative team. Remember, this was 8 years after Sir John Harvey Jones critique. So we did get into that a bit. So to the day...just click on the much more casually dressed (but with Morgan Logo wear of course) "at the door" Motoring Mouth. Really this is 26 years after the first visit...oh my! Once inside "interesting things of interest" will be provided.

Visit number 4 "The leap to the next century" tour 2005:

This visit was part of the UK portion of our itinerary, the tour day being Monday Oct. 24th, 2005. Again as luck would have it we get a meeting with the only Aero Max of the day and of course changes at the "WORKS" are very noticable in every way. This was the year of the Aero America "blitz". So on the right is your "Ticket to Ride" the rails to Malvern Link now just a click away. There will be a "side trip" to Stoke Lacy linked to this visit soon.

Visit number 5 The post Ireland visit Oct.9th 2007:

This is our last visit to date and was again a chance to tour the "WORKS" with RoseMarie & our good friend Cliff Baker. Again as luck would have it we are the first to see the mock-up of the tributary sculpture of Peter Morgan and his father ...just arrived at the works on that week. Things have changed somewhat it is now best to "call or e-Mail ahead for your visit and once there you will get you ID to give you access, way different than 1972. So click on your pass right, so you can enter the "Thoroughly Modern Works" and see some further changes from 2005.
